40 Year-Old to Face Second-Offense DUI Charge for Fatal Accident that Killed 3
Posted on May 30, 2013
A 40 year-old Louisiana woman will face many serious charges - including 2nd offense DUI - when she is released from a New Orleans hospital, where she is being treated for injuries she sustained in a car crash she alleged caused while driving drunk early Sunday morning. Police won't say what her BAC level was, but claim she crossed the line into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle, killing 3 people, including a pregnant one.
Although this is actually the woman's 5th DUI charge, her first three happened over ten years ago, and legally cannot be used to enhance the current charge.
