Driving Under the Influence...of a Cold?
Posted on Feb 22, 2012
Can driving with a cold be as dangerous as drunken driving? Researchers in the UK think so. They conducted a small study that evalutated the driving of cold-sufferers and concluded their driving was similar to someone driving after consuming four double-whiskeys. They attribute the slower reaction times and more frequent braking not only to the physical effects of a cold, but also to drowsiness caused by many cold medications.
