A Maryland special education teacher was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on December 28.
The Washington Post reports that the 25 year-old was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for traveling 40 in a 30 mph zone. The teacher, along with the driver and another passenger, agreed to let the officer search them and the car. Police found nine plastic bags containing what an officer identified as heroin on the teacher, and four bags and paraphrenalia on a male passenger (lab tests are pending).
The driver was charged only with speeding.
