MADD Wants Ignition Interlock Devices for Everyone Convicted of DUI
Posted on Aug 04, 2011
Even while a bill requiring ignition interlock devices on cars of those convicted of DUI with a BAC of .15 is set to take effect in Maryland this fall, MADD wants more. They are pushing for the devices to be installed on the cars of anyone convicted of a DUI, regardless of his or her BAC level. They want cars built with technology that could detect a driver's blood alcohol content through breath or skin.
