No DUI for Drunk Who Mistook Police Station for Casino
Posted on Oct 03, 2011
A 21 year-old entered the University of Nebraska-Lincoln police station Saturday wanting to play blackjack. He even tried to buy chips from a police officer, who explained to the man that he was not in a casino. The man left, but returned a few minutes later. Police gave the man a Breathalyzer test, which he failed - his BAC was 0.273! Police didn't arrest him, though, saying he hadn't committed a crime, but they kept him in custody until he sobered up.
