Ticketed Drivers in MD Must Now Request Court Date to Contest Violation

Drivers who receive traffic tickets in Maryland will no longer automatically be assigned a court date.  If they want to contest their tickets, they must now request a court date within 30 days.  The change is supposed to save money by reducing the number of no-shows in traffic court.
