Woman Charged with Hit and Run after Finding Body Under Car

A 40 year-old Woodbridge woman was charged with (felony) hit and run today in connection with a tragic accident that happened on Centreville Road on Monday.
A 39 year-old homeless man was trying to cross the busy street when a car struck him. That car stopped, but allegedly another car (driven by the defendant) then ran over the man, who was stuck under her car. When she finally stopped over a mile later, she reportedly noticed the body and called police, saying she "thought she had run over a 'mannequin' of some sort and continued driving."
Local Fairfax County Attorney Paul McGlone handles Hit and Run cases and other serious traffic charges.
