Police Brutally Beat, Taser Unarmed Man
In January, Tennessee police responded to a report of shots being fired and found 34 year-old Darrin Ring, drunk and reportedly unarmed. They barked orders at the man, who apparently obeyed, and then pushed him to the ground, eventually stripping him, beating him, handcuffing him, and shooting him with a taser.
The victim spent months in jail for resisting arrest until a video from the police car's dashboard camera surfaced, showing the brutal attack. Ring has filed a civil suit, and the FBI has launched a criminal investigation into the incident.
